Someone recently asked me why I began blogging. My immediate answer was because it is what God was telling me to do, but there is a longer answer to that question.
Yes, I blog because I felt led to do so (that is a story for another day,) but also for other reasons:
~ I love writing. I love putting my thoughts down on paper, whether writing in a journal, scribbling it on a piece of scrap paper, or typing in a Word document. I love writing in note cards, for essays, when writing a teaching or workshop message, and even when sending an encouraging text to a friend. I have had a fascination with stories and words for as long as I can remember. I just love words: words that sound funny, new-to-me words, the dictionary (I know that is nerdy!), using a thesaurus, quotations, Bible passages, and words that rhyme. Writing is a way I can creatively express myself. While I am not a painter, sculptor, or a musician, being a writer allows me to share my artistic side 🙂
~ I love chatting with my friends and even strangers! I often got into trouble for talking while in school. Yes, I was the one who could talk while working. Unfortunately, my classmates didn’t always have that same gift. Ha ha!
I love to chat, and I enjoy learning more about others. I love sharing my heart, my experiences, products I like, tips, recipes, travel stories, and the like, and love hearing about these things from my friends. I also have an easy time talking to strangers. My family jokes that I make friends wherever I go, even if it is at the grocery store. In fact, one woman now attends the church I go to because I met her at Trader Joe’s 🙂
Blogging can seem to be a one-sided conversation, but it isn’t. I have had readers email me to comment on something I posted or ask a question, and of course, blog followers can always leave a comment at the bottom of each post. It is also a fun way to meet new people and connect through conversation.
You may wonder why on earth I am telling you these things. Have you ever considered blogging? Maybe you love writing, too, and want to try starting a blog. I will admit that the whole process of beginning a self-hosting blog was OVERWHELMING! It was a huge learning curve for me, almost like learning a foreign language. I spent a time or two (or three!) in tears trying to understand it all. However, as I persisted, I saw it as a challenge and had to keep reminding myself it was something I was called to do. I pressed on, and I did it!
If you think maybe you would like to try blogging, I have a smart deal for you. It is called the Genius Blogger’s Toolkit.
Included in this toolkit are:
- 62 ebooks, e-courses & printables valued at: $3,665.40
- 17 digital bonuses valued at: $1,387.00
The bundle is selling for $97 total. It will only be at this price for seven days. Before I began blogging, I bought a bundle similar to this (mine was a homemaker’s bundle), and several books were very helpful.
This one, in particular, taught me the basics of setting up my blog:
I wish I had this bundle available before I began. I plan to purchase this particular bundle myself because there are so many useful books here! I am excited to look at some of these. I won’t use all of them (that would be overwhelming!) but to purchase them individually would be very pricey.
I am not trying to sell you anything you don’t need; but if you are at all interested in blogging/writing, I highly recommend this kit. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Here is the order form if you are interested: order form
*Reminder- this bundle is only available for seven days, and the deal expires Tuesday, November 1 at 11:59 EST.
Blessings,
Natalie xoxo

I absolutely LOVE the visuals and layout of your site, Natalie. Talk about GORGEOUS!!! Pink is my favorite color. 🙂 I am new to the blogging realm and enjoyed reading this post of yours regarding why you blog. This particular style of writing is so natural and relatable which is why I felt compelled to dive into it myself.
I have related to feeling overwhelmed with this blogging to-do but truly felt led to join in. Thankfully I have had a blogger mentor to help guide me and make the journey a little less scary. I’m wrapping up a 3-month program in the next couple of weeks with her.
Looking forward to seeing more of what you have to say! Hugs from Colorado!!
