“A fallen leaf is nothing more than a summer’s wave goodbye.”

September is here, and it’s time to wave goodbye to summer. There are just days left until autumn, but as the school year has begun, it feels like summer has already slipped away. I read this and thought it summed up perfectly what I hope for this month:
“I am looking at September as a chance to know we cannot hold time, but we can savor the very moments we have in the present. I am living in gratitude for such a beautiful season, a healthy family, a chance to begin new, and welcome new routines with open arms. If September teaches us anything every year, it is that life can change in an instant. Any moment is the last swim, the last tomato, the last ripe raspberry, the last first time, or anything else in a chapter of life. That can be weighty, or it can be simply an opportunity to enjoy and savor the beauty of life’s seasons. I choose the latter.” Megan Gilger
Settle in, grab a cold or warm drink, and enjoy this month’s offering. As always, I hope you can find something encouraging and/or helpful here.
